I just determined to get an electric scooter instead. It is more effortless than riding a bike in the summer. It comes in full charged and ready to go once over the box with the two handles screwed in. Pretty easy to handle with quick acceleration and cruise control. Catching up the speed of my daughter's bike is quite easy and the claim 10 miles range is about right checking with our daily route around the home. One fancy feature is the headlight and body lights makes it impressive and safe to ride in the evening. I've used to in my commute to the train station as well. Easy to store on the train with the foldable design. So far I have nothing to complain, although the solid rubber wheel is a little bit uncomfortable for a rough pavement. A very nice scooter for an adult, only thing can make it better could be increase the speed limit from 10mph to 15-20mph or so, but I understood the maker's consideration should be on the safety side.
