What really stands out with the Hiboy MAX is the cool design and a great build quality. The reinforced aluminium PC-ABS chassis are very strong and this allows the scooter to ridden fairly hard without worrying about it falling apart. I also like design of the Hiboy MAX electric scooter – it is minimalistic and pleasing to the eye. It will certainly get some attention when scooting around with it.
The dual headlight is a really important safety feature because it really adds visibility at night. Also the rear fender light and the rear brake light greatly improve visibility and safety. You can always add more lights if you feel you need more visibility when riding in the dark.
Another novel feature for a scooter is this price range is the front shock absorber, which reduce vibrations during riding. It has 8.5-inch solid tires, which means you don’t need to worry about punctures but solid tires also make the rider less smoother. But the front shock absorbers compensate for this really well.
The locking mechanism is located at the base of the stem and it is very easy to unfold. You simply need to  step on the pedal with your foot and push the handlebar quickly and hard until you hear a clear clicking sound and visually see that the latch has fully locked into place.

The 350 Watt motor is fairly powerful, for example the Xiaomi M365 has a 250 Watt motor. This extra power allows you toÂ
scale elevations of up to 15 degrees and even heavier riders can achieve high speeds and quick acceleration. The claimed maximum range of 17 miles and speed of 18.6 mph should be taken with a grain of salt. In real world conditions you most likely won’t reach those numbers but this is true with all scooters. If you are heavier rider and ride over slopes then you can expect the battery to last around 10 miles or so.
The double braking system which consists of a hand brake on the right side for slowing down and the twist-grip brake on the right makes the scooter come to a full stop.
Of course the Hiboy MAX has cruise and speed control. To activate the cruise control you just need to keep the accelerator pedal for 6 seconds at 8 Mph or higher. you should then hear a beep that has activated the cruise control. When the cruise control has turned on, use the accelerator again to cancel the cruise control, then use the hand brake to slow down and use the e-brake to come to a complete stop.

Overall it is one of the best budget electric scooter you can get for less than $400.It has decent speed, range, build quality and safety features. For a scooter costing less than $400 you can't expect it to be flawless. It is not the smoothest of scooters and the battery is not the best. But if you are on a tight budget then the Hiboy MAX is still significantly better than most other budget electric scooters.

First off I had some shipping issues, but it was quickly resolved by Ivan who has the best customer service anyone could ask for. So thumbs up for him!!
Second, the scooter is amazing. My son has been on it every day since he got it, and he’s only let me use it once because he’s so attached. The ride is smooth, easy to control, and the speed picks up quick. For the price of this scooter, I think it’s very reasonable and I must say it’s more eye catching than it’s competitors.
Overall, this scooter is perfect for anyone! Highly recommended!!
